1. Rewa:

Ah, this may not be a tourist destination but it is here because it is my home-town. Somewhere in the North-Eastern M.P.(That's Central India--Map Screenshot courtesy & © Dirk Djuga- winglobe ) It was once-upon-a-time  small-and-cozy-town with all amenities and warmth. Nowadays , though,  it is fast growing into a helter-skelter teenager-of-a-town; Congested roads, pollution, dirt&grime and politics.
Still, a nice place to live in.
The claim to fame for Rewa is of course the white tiger, a rare animal of pristine beauty and royal grace , which was caught in the nearby jungles of Govindgarh in 1960,s  .the  prized population of white tigers in the world today is descendant of this tiger. The region itself is putting up a meek fight to reclaim one member of this cherished breed.
My favourites are the various waterfalls in the region. They are all 300 feet plus in height, powerful, and picturesque. Topping my list is Keonti, complete with a graceful fortress atop a steep cliff overlooking the grand waterfall. The best thing is all  these waterfalls are wild , unattended and yet so accessible. You just have to take an evening out to go there and come back. The waterfall in the applet is Chachai ,35 kms.from Rewa. Now a days ,though, the river has been blocked for generating electricity. The other waterfall is Purwa, about 25 kms. from Rewa.

The grand building here is the Vyenkat Bhavan, an old royal building, right at the center of the town .A truly marvelous piece of architecture.

Seen a tiger in his jungle ? If you haven't (or even if you have ),I can say this much-It is one of the most graceful sights possible. The dim golden glow around a wild Tiger is something you won't find in any zoo. The wildlife photos here are from Bandhavgarh National Forest ,one of the biggest tiger sanctuaries . Well, when in Bandhavgarh, you don't always spot a tiger. But on your lucky day you can even see five or six of them. Even if you don't see a tiger in Bandhavgarh, you will surely be able to see huge flocks of alert and sprinting Cheetals and Sambhars ,Finicky Wild Boars and much more. And if You are an expeditious type you can even climb up to a grand, old,and wild Fort Of Bandhavgarh. TIgers IN BAndhavgarh
